Congo Brazzaville – “Improvement of the population health condition to contribute to the socio-economic development of the country”

5 axes of activity in the Financing Convention :

1) On the level of the institutional support, reinforcement of the institutional capacities of the Ministry of Health in the implementation of the Medical National Development Plan ;
2) A reinforcement of the local medical administration in four medical departments: Brazzaville, Kouilou, the Pool and the Basin.
3) On the level of supply of generic essential drugs, the installation of a new purchasing group and consolidation of a pharmaceutical policy.
4) On the level of the support to the people receiving health care, the implementation of a programme to improve the quality of services.
5) On the level of the support to the communities, reinforcement of the health committees, installation of mutual insurance companies of health and attribution of funds to support the local initiatives.

Specific mission objectives for the Cecoforma team

To analyze the progress report of the project starting from an analysis of the detailed quantitative and qualitative assessment of the actions carried out;
To identify the difficulties and constraints met;
To appreciate the adequacy of the strategies and the developed means compared to the objectives laid down in the Financing Convention;
To make recommendations on the possible adaptations of the logical framework and if necessary on the measures to be implemented so that the project can answer the objectives defined in the Financing convention.
