Office for Vocational Training and Labour Promotion (O.F.P.P.T.) - Assistance to businesses: strengthening of structures for maintenance assistance and advice

The project aim is to train 30 new consultant engineers to advise and assist the business, with a further six specialising in advice and assistance relating to "Maintenance aspects of quality assurance". In addition to theoretical training (10% of the time), the course focused on practical aspects and providing assistance to bodies and companies:

diagnostics,
audits,
recommendations,
setting up of recommandation procedures,
training initiatives,
seminars,
training within businesses and clusters of businesses.

The initiative involved 759 bodies and businesses, 11 conferences, 411 visits, 90 diagnostics/audits, 51 advice and assistance sessions, 70 training initiatives, 4 independent IC offices created.

Nature of services provided: setting up of maintenance organisation for OFPPT businesses and bodies, including: 30 vocational training centres (those relating to the clothing industry specialised in integratability of procedures into a future quality assurance system). Guidance of 15 entreprises in devising and implementing procedures and editing an Quality Assurance Manual. Mock audit of three companies prior to their accreditation. Assistance of OFPPT+MCI in organisation of "Quality weeks" '97-'98 & '99 and events in en diffrent towns; Setting up of permanent contacts permanents with trade associations to ensure adequate training/jobs.
